GECOL Hidrófugo
Description and uses of the product
GECOL Hidrófugo is a superficial, liquid and colourless water repellent, formulated based on water-based polysiloxane resins.
It is especially designed for waterproofing treatment and is characterised by its notable pearly effect on most of materials used in construction: concrete, mortar, ceramic brick, roof tiles, fibre cement and mineral absorbent surfaces in general.
“Pearly effect”
The low molecular weight of its formulation means that it has excellent penetrating power, thereby obtaining better results in water-repellent treatments. In addition, it retains the original appearance of the support avoiding the proliferation of mould.
GECOL Hidrófugo does not form continuous films on the surface of the material which could prevent the transition of water vapour, but penetrates the structure of the surface where, by means of polymerisation processes, it produces the water-repellent effects, leaving the transfer rate of water vapour from the substratum unchanged.
