SUSTAINABILITY
SUSTAINABILITY
The environment is always at the epicenter of all reflections and actions of the Group Soprema. Respect for nature for the preservation of the future of humanity is an explicit commitment of the companies that make up the Group.
The main challenge manufacturers face is the production of materials that meet the direct needs of contracting parties while preserving, at the same time, to future generations. All construction stakeholders must integrate this on a daily basis. Today, manufacturers of materials must anticipate the impact of their products and activities on nature and humanity. And this applies to the life of any construction, from the construction phase, through the operation phase, to the demolition of the building.
At GECOL we have 13 production centers spread throughout the Peninsula. This allows us to be close to our customers and distributors at all times and to be able to act quickly. But it also allows us to reduce the carbon footprint in the distribution of our products, which makes us a supplier committed to the environment and sustainability.
We are aware of the need to reduce CO2 consumption and for this reason we work in coordination with our carriers and suppliers to optimize the loads and reduce the number of redundant journeys.
In addition, our 4 research centers allow us to develop new, more sustainable products that meet our quality standards.

For the Soprema Group, the circular economy is an indisputable fact. Therefore, our raw materials are increasingly the result of recycling, promoting the circularity of our products as much as possible. Sorting and reusing or recycling waste are part of an essential strategic change to continue devising more environmentally friendly solutions.
We developed this know-how for our internal procedures, but also to be able to offer our future clients comprehensive advice and assistance to promote better energy solutions and to reduce waste at source.
GECOL is committed to responsible development and use of resources. We are aware of our responsibility as an industry and that is why iwe promote the circular economy to leave behind the model linear and break the economic system: “extract-produce-use-dispose”.
